Eric Thomas

President

Jonathan Eric Thomas, born February 5, 1969 in Davie County, NC. 

 I attended High Point College (now University) and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service.

 After obtaining my education, I began my professional career with Service Corporation International of Houston, TX at Kirksey Funeral Home in McDowell County, NC and Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service in Greensboro, NC.  In 2000, I was employed by Stewart Enterprises of New Orleans, LA as an Area Funeral Executive, overseeing 11 Funeral Locations in Eastern, NC.  In February 2003, I was employed by Heritage Family Funeral Services of Elizabethton, TN as Manager at Grandview Memorial Funeral Home in Sparta, NC.   In April of 2015 I moved to Myrtle Beach, SC.  I have worked with McMillan-Small Funeral Home and Crematory until returning back “HOME” to Alleghany, NC to begin this new and exciting venture in Funeral Service, serving this community and surrounding counties in NC and VA.

I am certified with the National Funeral Service Examining Board and a member of Phi Sigma Eta National Funeral Service Fraternity.  I am currently licensed in NC, SC and VA.  I am a member of Sparta Masonic Lodge #423.

 In 1990, I married Jennifer Lea Underwood Thomas of Greensboro, NC and we have two sons, Hunter and Parker. Hunter lives in Myrtle Beach, SC. He is a Flight Attendant with American Airlines and based in Miami, FL. Parker returned to Alleghany County, NC in 2017 after obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Gerontology from LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA.  He is currently enrolled in Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service seeking his degree in Mortuary Science.

 It is my desire to serve each family with my utmost ability during a difficult time, showing dignity and respect for your deceased loved one and putting the wishes of the family first in all services I conduct.  My experience in all aspects of funeral service assures you that the funeral service, graveside service, or cremation service you desire will be taken care of in the most professional manner, “It’s like having a member of the family in the funeral business.”

Austin Parker Thomas, born November 1, 1994 in Morganton, NC.

I graduated from Myrtle Beach High School in 2013.  I'm a  2017 graduate of LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA with degrees in Sociology and Gerontology.  

In 2017, I returned to Alleghany County.

I am currently enrolled in Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Georgia,  seeking an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science.
