William Ginn Obituary
William C. "Crannie" Ginn, age 77, of Ennice, NC; passed away Friday, November 22nd, 2024 at his residence.
Crannie was born August 10th, 1947 in Greene County, NC to the late Floyd and Debbie Whaley Ginn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and George "Red" Ginn; a sister, Jean Black. He retired after 32 years of service as a senior lineman with CP & L, now known as Duke Energy. He enjoyed tinkering with things and could fix just about anything. Crannie loved to help his community and neighbors and was extremely passionate about his friendship and support of the Alleghany County Sheriff's Department.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Julia Ramsey Ginn of the home; three children: Glenda J. Lewis and husband Robert of Sparta, Melinda G. McAllister and husband Micheal of Jacksonville, NC, William A. Ginn of Jacksonville, NC; seven grandchildren: David Hoffman, Sarina King, Raven Salazar, Isaac Westawski, Kasden Hoffman, Remington Ginn, Tempest Ginn; two great-grandchildren: Mason Salazar, Gabriel Hoffman; several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
A memorial service to honor the life of Crannie will be held at a later date.
