Wayne Wright

Jack Wayne Wright, age 86, of Ennice; passed away Sunday, December 8th, 2024 at his residence.

Wayne was born November 22nd, 1938 in Kistler, WV to the late Isaac R. and Gladys Franklin Wright . In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Darrell Gene "Pete" Wright and Robert Wright; a sister, Wanda Taylor; his son-in-law, Darin Church. He was the Owner/Operator of Wright Auto Sales. Wayne loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He enjoyed playing the guitar and hanging out with the guys at JB's and the car lot.

Survivors include his daughter, Waynette Wright Church of Ennice; two grandchildren: Bailey C. Mason and husband James of Sparta, Bryson Church and companion Abby Hawks of Glade Valley; a great-granddaughter, Lenore Asher Mason; companion of 12 years, Nancy Hudson; three nephews: Greg Wright of Sparta, Mark Irwin of Sparta, Phillip Irwin of Raleigh; a niece, Robin Wright Wells of Mt. Airy; extended family: Sharon Coe, Darren Cranford, Tammy Wolfenbarger, Ronda Ladd; close friend, James Willey; many friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Wayne will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Reverend Charlie Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Glade Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at funeral home.

The family respectfully requests no food or visitors at the home.
