Wanda (Montgomery) Robinson

Wanda Montgomery Robinson, age 86, of the Delhart Community of Galax, Va; passed away Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 at her residence.

Wanda was born October 6th, 1939 in Alleghany County to the late Abie Lee and Josephine Wagoner Montgomery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Rush Robinson; a sister, Helen Flippen.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela R. Galyean and husband Tommy of Galax; a granddaughter: Ashley Galyean of Galax; a grandson, Brandon Galyean and wife Jada of Galax; two great-granddaughters: Tinley and Hollynn Galyean; two brothers: Buck Montgomery of Sparta, Johnny Montgomery and wife Debbie of Ennice; many dear friends who she loved with all of her heart.

Wanda and Bud were married for 59 years and lived in the Delhart Community.

Wanda attended many different churches with friends and family, making friends everywhere she visited. She always presented herself as a southern lady willing to help and cheer everyone on. She cared for many sick people over the years, giving her love freely and never expecting anything in return.

God and her family were the two most important things in her life. She enjoyed collecting antiques, nature, and making friends. She always took time to talk with everyone.

Funeral services to honor the life of Wanda will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 7th, 2025 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Elder Pete Hawks and Pastor Phil Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence. A private family interment will follow at Kirby Cemetery.
