Wanda (Richardson) Mabe

Wanda Richardson Mabe, age 80, of 182 Alleghany Manor Road, Sparta, NC; passed away Wednesday, July 27th, 2022 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC.

Wanda was born May 4th, 1942 in Alleghany County to the late Edward and Bessie Richardson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Mabe Mash.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Jerry Dean Mabe of the home; a daughter, Lisa Dishman of the home; six grandchildren: Ryan Mash and wife Katelyn Wyatt Mash of Sparta, Ethan Mash of Sparta, Makayla Mash Aparicio and husband Carlos of Jefferson, Haley Dowell of Sparta, Hannah Dowell of Sparta, Olivia Dishman of Sparta; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob Delp and wife Charlotte of Maryland; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Wanda will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, July 31st, 2022 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Reverend Brian Severt officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
