Wanda Sue (Combs) Cleary

Wanda Combs Cleary, age 80, of Sparta; passed away Friday, February 24th, 2023 at Alleghany Health in Sparta.

Wanda was born November 4th, 1942 in McDowell County, WV to the late Lester and Mary Johnson Combs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Carol Hines.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Clifton Wayne Cleary of the home; two children: Micheal Wayne Cleary of Rocky Point, NC, Waynna Cleary McMillan and husband Patrick of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren: Isabella Wyatt of Sparta, NC and Mattie Wyatt of Raleigh, NC

Funeral Services to honor the life of Wanda will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Sparta Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
