Wade Mason Gilbert

Wade Mason Gilbert, age 73, of Ennice, NC; passed away Monday, November 10th, 2025 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Wade was born September 27th, 1952 in Alleghany County to the late Billie Mason Gilbert and Jama Lee Norman Richardson. Wade enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trading guns, and he was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Linda Gilbert of the home; a son, Glenn Gilbert and wife Kimberly of Mount Airy; a granddaughter, Ashleigh Gilbert of Mount Airy; two special aunts: Charlotte Lewis and Faye Crawford, both of Manassas, VA; special friends, Joe and Darlene Carpenter of Ennice; several extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services to honor the life of Wade will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 15th, 2025 at Old Saddle Mountain Union Baptist Church with Elder Russell Cox, Pastor Scott Wilson, and Jeff Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Saddle Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
