Treva Dell (Edwards) Smith

Treva Dell Edwards Smith, age 81, of 8811 Glade Valley Road, Ennice; passed away Thursday, January 5th, 2023 at her residence.

Treva was born April 15th, 1941 in Alleghany County to the late Isaac Glenn and Zollie Higgins Edwards. She was a member of Saddle Mountain Union Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Clyde Smith; a daughter, Towana S. Cox; two brothers: Charles Dean Edwards and Don David Edwards; three half-sisters: Irene Maines, Opal Evans and Ruby Roberts.

Survivors include two children: Tommy Smith and wife Missy of Ennice, Lucas Smith and wife Brooke of King, NC; grandchildren: Noelle Segraves and husband Darren of Laurel Springs, Cody Smith and wife Lauren of Tobaccoville, NC; great-grandchildren: Kasen, Asher, and Kinsley Segraves, Cooper, Lilah, and Cash Smith; son-in-law, Danny L. Cox of Galax; nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends also survive.

Funeral services to honor the life of Treva will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at Old Saddle Mountain Union Baptist Church with Elder Russ Cox and Pastor Sam Holder officiating. Interment will follow at Saddle Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at the church and other times at the residence.
