Timphia (Dixon) Miller

Alice Timphia Dixon Miller, age 76, of Laurel Springs; passed away Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 at Alleghany Memorial Hospital.

Timphia was a member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church in Glendale Springs. She loved to cook and flower gardening.

Timphia was born September 27th, 1946 in Alleghany County to the late Edd and Amelia Mabe Dixon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Reverend Frank Dixon; a sister, Lillie Loggins.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Bronard Miller of the home; two daughters: Sheila Lyall and husband Ricky of Laurel Springs, Lisa Tucker and husband Stuart of Laurel Springs; two grandsons: Ethan Tucker and wife Amber of Laurel Springs, Evan Tucker and wife Megan of Ennice; a granddaughter, Kelsey Lyall of Laurel Springs; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Hillary Dixon and wife Betty of Laurel Springs; a sister, Linda Atwood of Sparta; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

A private graveside service to honor the life of Timphia will be held on Friday, March 24th, 2023 at Mabe Family Cemetery in Laurel Springs. No formal visitation will be held.

The family would like to thank the staff of Alleghany Memorial Hospital for your exceptional care of Timphia and her family.
