Steven Darrell Brown

Steven Darrell Brown, age 65, of N. Wilkesboro and formerly of Alleghany County; passed away Sunday, July 9th, 2023 at his residence.

Steven was a simplistic man of simplistic means. He was a man of few words but spoke up when important and needed. He didn't speak a lot but he always made time to communicate and check on family.

Steven was born October 24th, 1957 in Alleghany County to the late Walter and Vivian Bryan Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters: Regina Parham, Bernice Jacobs, Joyce Brown and Annette Harris; one brother, Herbert Brown.

Survivors include three brothers: Douglas Brown and wife Vera of Sparta, Walter Brown, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Bristol, VA, Alvin Brown of Sparta; one sister, Venia Price and husband Goldie of New Carrollton, MD; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

A graveside service to honor the life of Steven will be held at 12:00 pm Friday July 14th, 2023 at Macedonia Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Verl Brown, Jr., Kydric Brown and Keith Bryan officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
