Shirley (Caudill) Watson

Shirley Sandra Caudill Watson, age 76 of Ennice, NC; passed away Friday, March 8th, 2024 at her daughter's home in Sparta.

Shirley was born May 30th, 1947 in Alleghany County to the late Coy and Ethel Atwood Caudill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Watson; three sisters: Marie Chappell, Elsie Reed, and Ann Caudill; three brothers: Vern Caudill, Lebert Caudill and Leonard Caudill.

Shirley attended Faith Community Church in East Bend, NC. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and her great grandson.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Blane Watson, Sr. of the home; a daughter, Brenda Hines of Sparta; two grandchildren: Tyler Choate (Laken Ring) of Sparta, Zachary Hash of Raleigh; a great grandson, Talen Choate of Sparta; a sister, Mattie Crouse and husband Raymond of Sparta; a brother, Dale Caudill of Sparta; a special niece, Barbara Reed; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Shirley will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Brian Poindexter and J.L. Chappell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Brenda Hines, 126 Sparta Heights in Sparta, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thomas Family Funeral Service, PO Box 114, Sparta, NC 28675 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
