Shad Agnoo Tally

Shad Agnoo Tally, beloved Dad, son, brother, friend, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta, NC.

Shad was born December 17, 1965 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Amolee "Amy" Leftwich Tally and the late Gary Ogburn Tally. He graduated from Alleghany High School in 1984, later pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Guilford College in 2007. Shad had a love for the outdoors and was known for his innate ability to build or repair anything. A true craftsman, meticulous analytic, and service-minded friend, Shad was always willing to lend a hand on projects large and small, sneakily leaving small touches of his talent along the way. His affinity for Super Bubble and Mountain Dew was known by all.

Shad is survived by his mother, Amolee "Amy Tally; two sons: Joshua Tally and wife Chelsea, Dr. Zachary Tally and wife Dr. Amy Tally; a brother, Shon A. Tally and wife Shannon; two sisters: Kari Tally Reeves and husband Christopher, Jayne Crouse Fender and husband Tom; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends also survive. He was beloved “Uncle Shad” to several nieces and nephews and will be eternally missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him, his characteristic laugh and his timely wit.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Shad will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 27th, 2021 in the Chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service. Friends will be received by his children one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
