Ronnie Parsons Obituary
Ronnie Dale Parsons, Sr. age 65 of Hays, NC; passed away Saturday, May 9th, 2026 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC.
Dale was born September 13, 1960 in Alleghany County, NC to the late Seabert and Mable Ruth Medley Parsons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Jerry Dean Parsons, Seabert Tony Parsons and Lonnie Wayne Parsons.
Dale loved to write poetry and was fortunate to have one book of poetry published. He enjoyed playing corn hole and pitching horseshoes.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Tammy Blevins Parsons of the home; two children: Cristy and Vernon Gloria of Hays, Ronnie Dale Parsons, Jr. of Hays; seven grandchildren: three brothers: Tim and Sondra Parsons, Junior and Cynthia Parsons, Terry Parsons all of Sparta; four sisters: Diann Bare of Crumpler, Jane and Robert Wood of Elkin, Sue and John Choate of Glade Valley, Roxanne Arnold of Sparta; his two canine companions, Charlie Boy and Buttercup; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.
Funeral Services to honor the life of Dale will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 14th, 2026 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Reverend Tracy Nichols and Pastor Jeremy Brinegar officiating. Interment will follow at West Side Independent Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the US Army and the Bruce Wayne Osborne VFW Post #7034 of Sparta. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 at Thomas Family Funeral Service.
