Robert Willington Obituary

Robert Willington passed away peacefully from Parkinson's Disease at his home in North Carolina on February 12, 2024.

He attended College in Canada and Washington State, before beginning a multifaceted career which included many businesses both domestic and international which were located in Central America and in Taipei, Taiwan. Everything Rob did was fun and everyone who knew him loved being around him. He was the inventor of Happiness and Joy!

Rob's life was an incredible journey from creating Chem Tech International in Toronto, and his chemical business in upstate New York. He lived in New York for many years, and had a beautiful suite of show rooms at 225 Fifth Avenue in NYC, and exquisite retail stores in the major malls on Long Island. His art and chemical businesses in Orlando, Florida led to him opening an art gallery "Finer Things" in Rockport, Massachusetts. There he next opened a jewelry store,"Favorite Memory", and the great and popular restaurant "" My Place By The Sea" at the end of Bearskin Neck.

One of Rob's greatest joys was coaching hockey, and his annual children's camp where he took great delight in teaching many important life skills.

Rob had a magical spirit and believed that all things were possible, he was a wonderful blessing to all whom he met.

Also, Rob was a great Christian and always said "Those who live in the Lord never see one another for the last time".

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Hilma Sheath, his brothers Peter and Tom Swanson, and nephew Kevin.

Rob is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Bette Willington, of North Carolina, his son Robert Willington of Beverly Farms Massachusetts, and his brother Herb Sheath of Kelowna, British Columbia.

Rob will be greatly missed by all who knew him, including his former wife Cristull Hasson of La Jolla, California his former brother in law Ian McGillivray of Priddis Alberta, nieces Keri and Lana, and by his loyal and supportive friend, John Tabachniuk of Calgary, Alberta.

Rob's friendship, goodness and kindness will be missed by his grandchildren Georgia, Victoria, Andrew and Liam and their mother, Kristine Hale. Also by his stepchildren Jeremy Hatch of Rockport, Massachusetts and Tara Bishop of Duxbury, Massachusetts and her children Alex, Oliver, Nathan, and Sam. Also by his nieces Tina, Tannis, Tammy, and Terry, and nephews Trevor, Jason and Jarret.

Private funeral services will be held in the Spring, one in Massachusetts and one in Alberta, Canada.
