Rita Ann (DeMond) McGarrigle

Rita Ann DeMond McGarrigle, age 67, of 554 Wolfe Road, Sparta, NC; passed away Monday, May 29th, 2023 at her residence.

Rita was born November 13th, 1955 in Cheshire County, New Hampshire to Marilyn Jackson and the late Clifford DeMond. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, quilting and baking.

Suvivors include her husband, Frank "Mac" McGarrigle of the home; her mother, Marilyn Jackson; three children: Sandy Harper and husband Jack of Boonville, Suzy Aaron and husband Stephen of Winston-Salem, Jeremy Wolhok of New Hampshire; six grandchildren: Noah, Savannah and Bodhi Harper, Sarah Fielders, Sarina, and Scarlett Aaron; a brother, David Emery and wife Pat of Texas; a sister, Susan Emery of New Hampshire; two step-brothers, Derek DeMond and Ryan DeMond.

Graveside services to honor the life of Rita will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 at New Salem Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at the residence. No formal visitation will be held.
