Ricky Dale Johnson, "Barefoot Ricky", age 56, of Glade Valley, NC; passed away Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 in Glade Valley, NC.

Ricky was born September 29th, 1968 in Alleghany County, NC to the late Glenn Walls and Linda Johnson Eads. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Shannon; a sister, Sandra Eads. Ricky loved the Lord and helping others. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking barbecue for people.

Survivors include a daughter, Kristina Johnson and fiance Rylan Whittington of Glade Valley; four sisters, Karen Wiles and husband Mickey of Thurmond, NC, Sharon Berninger and husband Tony of Browns Summit, NC, Glenda Kluttz and husband Donnie of Vale, NC, Kathy Teague and husband Jason of Ronda, NC; a brother, Eric Eads and wife Shannon of Hamptonville, NC; a special aunt, Linda Walls of Glade Valley, NC; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

A memorial service to honor the life of Ricky will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 1st, 2025 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
