Ricky Alvin Brooks

Ricky Alvin Brooks, age 61, of 44 Brooks Road, Glade Valley, NC; passed away Friday, September 30th, 2022 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC.

Ricky was born May 25th, 1961 in Alleghany County to the late Paul Samuel and Minnie Evans Brooks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Donnie Samuel Brooks. Ricky was a member of Mountain Top Baptist Church in Glade Valley where he served as a Deacon.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Vickie Brooks of the home; two sons: Chris Brooks of the home, Colby Brooks of Glade Valley; a brother, Rocky Brooks and wife Peggy of Dobson; two sisters: Vickey Todd and husband Catfish of Sparta, Terry Maines and husband George of Glade Valley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Pauline Williams; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Robert and Roxanne Williams of Mississippi, Teresa and Ray Soit of Mountain Park, Donna and Will Long of Glade Valley; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Ricky will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at Mountain Top Baptist Church with Pastors Granville Branch and Brian Cardwell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the church and other times at the residence.
