Reece Jordan Joines

Reece Jordan Joines, age 60, of Sparta; passed away on Monday, November 30th, 2020 at his residence.

Reece was born October 17th, 1960 in Liberty, New York to the late Charles Fleet and Joan Eileen Newman Joines. He spent his childhood roaming the banks of the Little River in Whitehead. He loved fishing, music, archeology and was a huge History Buff.

Survivors include his daughter, Jordan Joines and partner, Travis Thompson of Hiddenite, NC; step-children: Kelaiya LeMasters Davis and Justin LeMasters both of Sparta; a brother, Chuck Joines and wife Angela of Winnabow, NC; four sisters: Jemelle Craig and husband Rick of Virginia Beach, VA, Sharlene Lack and husband James of Kennett, MO, Marla Langford of Virginia Beach, VA, Felicia Edwards of Statesville, NC; a step-sister, Barbara Ann Moorman and husband Jay of Martinsville, VA; his life long friend, Paula Joines; a special cousin, Eldon Joines and wife Kathy of Sparta; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family and friends also survive.

Graveside services to honor the life of Reece will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 30th at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in the Whitehead Community of Sparta with Dr. Brian Galyean officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at Thomas Family Funeral Service.
