Reba (Edwards) Smith

Reba Edwards Smith, age 94, of Ennice, NC; passed away on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 at her son's home in Millers Creek, NC.

Reba was a member of Crab Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She taught kindergarten at Glade Creek Elementary School until her retirement.

Reba was born August 28th, 1929 in Alleghany County to the late Robert and Ruth Crouse Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Camet Smith; a half-brother, Clarence Edwards; a half sister, Marie Truitt.

Survivors include two sons: Danny Smith and wife Sandra of Millers Creek, Ken Smith and wife Sarah of Ennice; a daughter, Dianne Hines of Wilmington, NC; six grandchildren: Chris Smith and wife Tara of Wilkesboro, Brandi Fletcher and husband Matt of Millers Creek, Brandon Smith of Roanoke, VA, Allison Smith of Ennice, Meri Heagle and husband Luke of Wilmington, Becky Faucette and husband Brian of Wilmington; nine great-grandchildren: Collin Smith, Cooper Smith, Madison Fletcher, Mason Fletcher, Maddox Tallent, Everleigh Tallent, Ethan Heagle, Anna Heagle, Colby Faucette; a sister, Wanda Edwards of Sparta; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Reba will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at Crab Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder James Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Crab Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
