Ralph Wayne Brown

Ralph Wayne (Bud) Brown died October 15, 2020 at Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson, NC.
He was born March 13, 1932 in Alleghany County, NC to Fred H. Brown and Donna Rae Hash Brown. He was married to Irene Hamm, August 18th 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, two brothers Jim Brown and Joe Brown and two sisters, Dorothy Mabe and Donna Chapman.

He is survived by three sisters, Sue Caldwell, Evelyn Earp (Charlie) and Linda Hornung (Joe) as well as helpful and caring nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ralph graduated from Piney Creek High School in 1951 and immediately joined the US Air Force where he served 6 years including a year on Enewetok where he served as helicopter crew chief during the preparation for the first H-bomb test. After leaving service, he was much in demand as a house painter. He enjoyed restoring antique cars and was especially proud of his 1932 Model A Ford that he took to many car shows.

His family wishes to express appreciation for the compassionate care Bud received at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC and to Brother Ed Hall for his abiding friendship and for being with Bud at his passing.

A private service will be held at a later date.
