Pauline (Crouse) Williams

Pauline Crouse Williams, age 81 of Glade Valley, NC; passed away Thursday, June 26th, 2025 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.

Pauline was born September 25th, 1943 in Alleghany County, NC to the late Ray and Victoria Harrold Crouse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers: John Ray Crouse, Donald Crouse, Ronnie Crouse, Pat Crouse, Kevin Crouse; two sisters: Ina Grace Royal, Martha Crouse; a son-in-law, Ricky Brooks. Pauline was a homemaker, hard worker and owner/operator of Williams Grocery for 27 years.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Roger Williams of the home; four children: Robert Williams and wife Roxanne of Kiln, MS, Vickie Brooks of Glade Valley, NC, Teresa Soit and husband Ray of Thurmond, NC, Donna Long and husband Will of Glade Valley, NC; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three sisters: Mary Alice brown of Ennice, NC, Sandra Kyall of GA, Ann Brown of Siloam, NC; two brothers: Dennis Crouse and wife Marlene of Ennice, NC, Lennie Crouse and wife Debbie of Sparta, NC; an uncle, Archie Williams; a very special friend, Mattie Hutchinson; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services to honor the life of Pauline will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 30th, 2025 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Brothers Eddie Lyles, Avery Branch and Jacob Hartzog officiating. Interment will follow at Woodruff Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
