Patricia Gail (Farmer) Harris

Patricia "Patty" Gail Harris, age 64, of 171 Rock Road, Sparta; passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 at her residence.

Patty was a life long member of Westside Independent Baptist Church in Sparta. She was full of life, she loved flower gardening, horses, reading, making notes, shopping, and most of all, enjoying time spent with her grandchildren. We cannot forget her love of Diet Caffeine Free Pepsi and Reese's Pieces.

Patty was born July 1st, 1959 in Galax, VA to the late George Edd and Betty Lou Mabe Farmer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Gene Harris; two sisters: Donna Rector and Kathy Brinegar.

Survivors include her two children: Andy Harris and wife Samantha of Sparta, Brandon Harris and wife Christy of Sparta; three beloved grandchildren: Drew, Skylar, and Millie Harris all of Sparta; a sister, Sharon Casstevens and husband Alfred of Sparta; two brothers-in-law: Ricky Brinegar and Billy Rector; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Patty will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, September 11th, 2023 at West Side Independent Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Andy and Samantha Harris, 11 Cahn Rd., Sparta, NC 28675.
