Patrice (Davis) Bland

Patrice Davis Bland, age 68 of Sparta, NC; passed away Monday, May 18th, 2026 at her residence.

Patrice was born January 21st, 1958 in Asheboro, NC to the late Paul Wayne Davis and Nancy Holloway Davis.

Patrice worked for a few years at North Carolina State University in the Entomology and Toxicology Departments while her husband attended college there. Later, she used her Medical Secretary degree working at University of GA in the Chemistry Department and at a Children's Hospital in San Diego, CA. Her love was children and she became a Pre-K Teacher at a church daycare where she retired after 15 years. Above all, Patrice cherished time spent with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, John Bland of the home; her mother, Nancy Davis of Sparta; two sons: Michael Bland and Aaron Bland of Slidell, LA; a brother, Paul Rodney "Rod" Davis and wife Ginny of Cary.

Funeral services to honor the life of Patrice will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 at Whitehead Baptist Church with Gary West officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehead Joines Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
