Oliver Cooper Luther Evans, our little "Ollie", was born sleeping on August 16th , 2025 at 3:58pm at Novant Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. Though his time on earth
was brief, he was perfect in every way, but far too perfect for this world. A most precious gift that will be loved forever.
He is the beloved son of Brooke Cooper Fender and Brandon Evans. Born the spitting image of his mommy from head to toe, even with soft, dark curly hair. His big hands and
feet, however, so much like his daddy. The most perfect little boy since the day his dad was born. Deeply loved little brother to his big sister Akelea Fender and his biggest
sister Carolenna Fender. He is the cherished grandson of Charles Lee "Poppy" and Judy Sidden "Lolli" Cooper and Michelle "Mimi" Evans. Sweet Ollie was the chosen
Nephew to "Aunt" Jessica Scheffey, "Aunt Nette Nette" Annette Wagoner, "Aunt Dee" Denise Bryant and dear friend Shawn Reese. Ollie will be remembered and was highly
anticipated by his maternal great grandmother Kathleen Brown, maternal Great Aunt Tammy Maness (Don), as well numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends
anticipating his arrival and to show him all the love that was waiting on him.
Our Ollie was specially and powerfully named after all of the men that were most important to his mommy and daddy. After his late great Papah "Oliver", his Poppy Lee
and late great Papaw Roger "Cooper", his late Papa "Luther" and his late great Grand Daddy "Evans".
Our hearts are full of the love he gave us and though our arms are empty here, Papah Oliver and Granny Lois were sure waiting with their open for him.
We will carry him in our hearts, knowing he is watching over us daily, and will forever be part of our families' stories.
We will not get to see his first smile, take his first steps nor hear his first laugh or first words, but he will be flying with those wings and rejoicing with the other angels while
being our guardian.
Special thanks to Dr. Erik Usher for the above the moon and beyond the stars care he provided through the entire pregnancy and then being there the day we found out we
lost our sweet Ollie. Our sweet nurse Emily was with us from the start of mommy's IV until Ollie was born. Cassie was with Ollie right after he was born and spent special time
with him, mommy and daddy, to make sure he had the best pictures taken for us to have forever cherished memories. Our night shift nurse Millie, who spent extra time with
us in our room, making sure we were all taken care of excellently. A special thanks to all of them for letting us grieve and holding us tight while we did, even when we didn't know
what we needed in that very second.
The family of Ollie will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Friday, September 5th, 2025 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service. A private memorial service for family
and close friends only will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor our Ollie by holding your loved ones close, cherishing each moment and speaking our sweet baby boy Oliver's name with love and remembrance always.
Thomas Family Funeral Service is honored to be serving little Ollie's family. If you wish, online tributes may be extended to the family at www.thomasfamilyfs.com.
