Nellie Gene (Moxley) Durham

Nellie Gene Moxley Durham, age 85, of Traphill, NC; passed away Saturday, December 10th, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Nellie was born May 3rd, 1937 in Alleghany County to the late Bert and Ethel Brinegar Moxley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Durham; two sisters: Mary Lane and Sylvia Jones; five brothers: Reese Moxley, Rob Moxley, Bert Moxley, James Moxley, and Buddy Moxley. She attended Sparta Church of God.

Survivors include two sisters: Linda Durham and husband Mickey of Traphill, Bonnie Moxley of Traphill; a brother, Raymond Moxley of Sparta; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Nellie will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 14th, 2022 at Sparta Church of God with Pastor Doug Combs officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh UMC Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
