Nancy Hudson Obituary
Nancy Gentry Hudson, age 72, of 482 Highland Dr., Sparta; passed away Monday, March 29th, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Nancy was born in Wilkes County to the late Richard Dewey "Dick" Gentry and Allene Blevins Gentry.
Nancy was employed over the years with Blue Ridge Shoe, Troutman Shirt Company and Alleghany Memorial Hospital. She loved her cats and dog, enjoyed the beach and star gazing. She loved talking to people and she had never met a stranger.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Robert Cleve Hudson of the home; daughter, Audra H. Crouse and husband Wayne of Glade Valley; a sister, Ann Woodle and husband Larry of Sparta; sisters-in-law: Alma Hawkins and husband J.C. of Sparta, Ellen Lovette and husband Tommy of Millers Creek; brothers-in-law: James Hudson of Sparta, Joe Hudson of Hillsville, VA; step-granddaughter, Bonnie Hutchinson and husband Tony of State Road; step great-grandson, Justin Willey of Sparta; several nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.
Private Funeral Services to honor the life of Nancy will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 3rd, 2021 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Brother Ed Hall and Elder Larry Woodle officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery. A private family gathering will be held prior to the service at the funeral home.
