Mildred Moxley Obituary
Mildred Callie Vestal Moxley, age 94 of Mt. Zion Church Road, Piney Creek, NC; passed away Sunday, August 3rd, 2025 at her daughter's home in Sylva, NC.
Mildred was born November 7th, 1930 in Yadkin County to the late Glenn and Sudie Groce Vestal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Moxley; two brothers, Phillip Vestal and Edward Vestal; a sister, Mabel Black.
Survivors include her children: Deborah Pugh Kennedy and husband Neil of Sylva, Richard Moxley and wife Sheryl of Stem, NC; grandchildren: Beth Farrell and husband Kevin of Cary, Laura Parker and husband Brian of Claremont, Justin Moxley and wife Amanda of Stem, John Moxley of Clayton, Joshua Moxley of Charleston, SC; great-grandchildren: Bryson Parker, Wade Parker, Everett Moxley, Autumn Moxley, Theodore Moxley, Summer Moxley, Elliott Moxley, and Jedediah Moxley; sister-in-law, Betty Cox of Independence, Va; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 7th, 2025 at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Reverend Gary Camp officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
