Melva Rose (Bedsaul) Dancy

Melva Bedsaul Dancy, age 68, formerly of Alleghany County; passed away Tuesday, December 14th, 2021 at Mocksville Senior Living in Mocksville, NC.

Melva was born May 7th, 1953 in Alleghany County, NC to the late Omar Hilley Bedsaul and Collie Fortner Bedsaul. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings: Estel Bedsaul, Kenneth Bedsaul, Lorene Jennings, Opal Lee Poff, Claire Jean Atkinson, Ethelene Kyles, and Jimmy Lee Bottomley.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Tompkins and companion Casey of Sparta; a brother, Ivan Bedsaul and wife Louise of Galax, VA; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Melva will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 18th, 2021 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Brother Max Combs officiating. Interment will follow at Saddle Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
