"Maxine Evans was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who crossed her path. A true blessing to those who knew her, she had a remarkable ability to listen and offer comfort. This October, she would have celebrated her 65th wedding anniversary with the love of her life, Jack Evans.
At just 12 years old, Maxine and her father walked to the altar together on Christmas Day, where she was baptized by her grandfather, Mac Brooks. This moment marked the beginning of a lifelong faith that never wavered. She dedicated her life to spreading love and the word of God, nurturing her family's souls in this life and the next, and welcoming everyone through her door with warmth and care.
Remembered as an elegant and poised woman, Maxine found joy in tending to her vibrant flower beds, especially her beloved hydrangeas. A savvy shopper, she loved exploring the Goodwill and teaching her grandchildren the art of finding a good deal.
Her kindness and gentle spirit were matched by her strength and determination. Maxine cherished moments with family and friends, engaging in long conversations that lingered long after the sunset. Her legacy of love and selflessness will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched."
