Maxine Davis Obituary
Maxine T. Davis, age 94 of 11579 Glade Valley Road, Ennice, NC; went to her eternal home in heaven on March 8th, 2026.
Maxine was born March 1st, 1932 in Low Gap, NC to Millard and Mallie Mathis Thompson. She was one of thirteen children and was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. She was also preceded in death by the "love of her life" her precious husband, Elwood H. Davis and one grandson Matthew Davis.
Maxine was a devoted and loving wife and she and Elwood spent many years working together on their farm in Ennice. She was well known for her daily walks throughout the community and for sharing her homemade baked goods with those around her. A loving and kind person, she made many lifelong friends and was a beloved friend to so many. She was truly a pillar of the community, always bringing warmth and kindness to those around her. Maxine also proudly served the Ennice community at what was then known as Mountain Surf restaurant.
Maxine gave birth to three children: Debbi Koeblitz and husband Bob of Winston-Salem, Amanda Miller of Ennice, Rodney Davis of Ennice; nine grandchildren: Kristin Koeblitz, Kelly Rutter, Kristofer Koeblitz, Kimberly Ferraro, Daniel Taylor, Tracy Taylor, Isabella Miller, Shannon Davis and Ashley Miller; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; extended family and friends also survive.
Funeral Services to honor the life of Maxine will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, March 13th, 2026 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Reverend Max Combs and Reverend Mark Carico officiating. Interment will follow at the Davis Family Cemetery on the family farm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family respectfully ask for no food at the home.
