Mattie (Caudill) Crouse

Mattie Caudill Crouse, age 90 of Sparta, NC; passed away Monday, September 29th, 2025 at Lotus Village in Sparta, NC.

Mattie was born March 13th, 1935 in Alleghany County to the late Coy and Ethel Atwood Caudill.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Elder Raymond Crouse of the home; a son, Raymond Lee Crouse and wife Rita of Salisbury; a grandson, Matthew Lee Crouse; two great grandchildren: Emily Crouse and Andrew Crouse; a brother, Junior Dale Caudill of Sparta.

Funeral services to honor the life of Mattie will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025 at Landmark Union Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
