Mary Frances (Bingman) Galyon

Mary Frances Bingman Galyon, age 72 of Glade Valley; passed away Saturday, October 18th, 2025 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.

Mary was born May 26th, 1953 in Allegany County, MD to the late Robert Eugene and Kathleen Emerick Bingman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent "Sam" Bingman.

Mary loved music of all kinds, really anything that made her want to get up and dance. She loved to grow and admire all forms of flowers and plants. Most of all she loved to laugh and have fun with her family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters: Angela Peros and husband Tony Peros of Glade Valley, Amy Galyon and husband, Chris Derrick of Cape Carteret, NC; five grandchildren: Memphis Peros, Niko Peros, Mackenzie Derrick, Kaleigh Derrick and Isabelle Derrick; a brother, Larry Bingman of Baltimore, MD; two sisters, Joann Bingman of Morehead City, NC, Genny OrRico and husband Dan OrRico of Seminole, FL; two nieces: Kathleen OrRico-Smith of Mt. Holly, NJ and Jessica Ritchey of Frostburg, MD; four nephews: Patrick Bingman of Morehead City, NC, David OrRico of Largo, FL, Timothy Bingman and Jeremy Bingman of Amherst, VA; extended family and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service to honor Mary will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, November 7th, 2025 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice - Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
