Mark Brian Hummel

Mark Brian Hummel, age 72, of Sparta, NC; passed away Sunday, December 10th, 2023 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

Mark was born October 25th, 1951 in Berkeley, CA to the late Fred Hummel and Jean Gordon Anderson. He enjoyed trout fishing, building motorcycles and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife, Sissy Williams of the home; mother, Jean Anderson of San Diego, CA; two daughters: Courtney Deppens of Ventura, CA, Jessica Durrin of Salisbury, NC; a son, Aaron Hummel of Salisbury, NC; five sisters: Shaun and Lindsay, Rebecca, Jessica and Amber of CA; a brother, Glenn Hummel of CA; five grandchildren including Montanna Jo and his First Mate Phoenix; extended family and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
