Mark Absher Howell

Mark Absher Howell, age 53, of 314 Dewitt Road, Glade Valley, NC; passed away Wednesday, May 26th, 2021 at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte, NC.

Mark was born April 13th, 1968 in Alleghany County to Willie Lee Howell and the late Jannie Sue Ham Severt.

Survivors include four children: Mitchell Howell and wife Heaven of Mt. Airy, Adrienne Howell and fiance' Cody Cooper of Glade Valley, Jake Howell of Glade Valley, Nicole Howell and significant other, Allen Mathiak of Mt. Airy; his fiance', Monica Hedrick of the home; his father, Willie Lee Howell of Sparta; two grandchildren: Andrew Howell and Serenity Williams; a brother, Jason Bartlette of Greensboro; two half-sisters: Wendy Andrews and husband Larry of Sparta, Mindy Hodge and husband Travis of Sparta; his canine companion, Ruger; nieces, nephews, and extended family also survive.

Memorial Services to honor the life of Mark will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, June 5th, 2021 at Full Gospel Church in Sparta. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
