Margaret Bowles Obituary

What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9

As a believer and follower of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Margaret Lee Bowles is now experiencing what has been prepared for her in heaven. Born September 12, 1943 to the late Raymond Ford Andrews and Emma Lee Wagoner Andrews her earthly journey ended on February 7, 2021. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Don Bowles, her son Andrew Crouse, her brother Harold Andrews and her sister Betty Jo Green. Left to mourn her passing are her sons Matthew Crouse and Marshall Crouse of Sparta, her grandson Avery Crouse of Sparta, her granddaughter Madison Crouse of Concord, her sisters Barbara Church of Sparta, Shirley Andrews of Clemmons, Patsy Jarrett and husband Bill of Sparta, her brother Robert Andrews and wife Pam of Sparta, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition, Margaret leaves many special neighbors and friends along Center Street especially Shelby Greer, Barbara Murphy and Lib Nester.

Margaret was a graduate of Sparta High School and Drone Business School where she learned the ins and outs of the business world. Margaret would take this knowledge with her throughout her life utilizing it to build a successful insurance business with her husband, Robert Crouse. After leaving the business, Margaret would once again find the knowledge helpful in her twenty plus year career with Blevins Building Supply and then Parkers Building Supply until her retirement in 2020.

Margaret was a talented person excelling in anything that she attempted. She was an exceptional artist, cook, gardener and business professional but the thing that she excelled at the most was as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved her children and grandchildren and was so proud of them all doing all she could to give them a firm foundation in which to build upon. As a sister and friend, she would do anything for anybody and enjoyed the company of all she came into contact. As a follower of Jesus Christ, Margaret believed in the golden rule and put it into practice. Regardless of how she felt, she always greeted everyone with a smile and a word of encouragement. As her health declined over the last several years, she continued to push forward. Always ready to cook a meal for her children and grandchildren, jump in the car for a quick trip to Wal-Mart, or to sit down for a good card game. Margaret did not let her ailments hold her back.

Given all her accomplishments in life, the one that is the most important was her acceptance of Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Margaret was a member of Sparta First Baptist Church and a member of the Chancel Choir. She was a follower of Jesus Christ believing that he was the son of God who came to this earth to walk among us, who for our sins was crucified on a cross, who arose three days later to sit at the right side of his heavenly father and that one day he would return for his church. As a result of these beliefs, Margaret is at peace reunited with those that have gone on before her and her desire is to spend eternity with each one of us. If you want to see Margaret again, it is simple, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!
