Lucy Mae LaRue

Lucy Mae LaRue, age 80 of Sparta, NC; passed away Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC.

Lucy was born April 10th, 1946 in Alleghany County to the late Joseph Louis and Olear Edwards LaRue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Zollie Lowe and Mattie Lyons.

Survivors include two brothers: Baise LaRue of the home, Luther LaRue of Bonita Springs, FL; a sister, Kathleen Lyons of Apex.

No formal services will be held.
