Louise (Brackins) Wingler

Mabel Louise Wingler, age 91, 1701 Allen Road, Piney Creek, NC; passed away Friday, September 10th, 2021 at Alleghany Health in Sparta, NC.

Louise was born August 8th, 1930 in Ashe County to the late Carl Jones and Jean Brackins Wingler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Wingler; her grandmother who raised her, Mercia Jane Brackins; three sisters: Lucille Bare, Ruth Eldreth, and Josephine Roark; a brother, Junior Wingler.

Survivors include a son, Danney Wingler of the home; her daughter, Shirley Brooks and husband John of Piney Creek; a grandson: David Brooks and wife Claire of Sparta; two great-grandchildren: Allie Brooks and Jake Brooks both of Sparta; special friends: Mary Lyall and her son Eli of Laurel Springs; several nieces nephews and extended family also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Louise will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, September 13th, 2021 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Pastor Mark Wagg officiating. Interment will follow at Scottville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Shirley Brooks, 6270 Hwy 113, Piney Creek, NC 28663.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thomas Family Funeral Service, PO Box 114, Sparta, NC 28675 to assist the family with funeral expenses.

The family respectfully request no food be brought to the home.
