Linda Faye Edwards

Linda Faye Edwards, age 78 of Independence, VA; passed away Saturday, June 6th, 2026 at Lexington Healthcare in Lexington, NC.

Linda was born November 27th, 1947 in Alleghany County, NC to the late Dewey George and Helen Coulson Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Tolbert; two brothers: Clinton and David Edwards.

Survivors include five sons: Timothy, James, Phillip, Douglas and Dale McMillan; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two sisters: Patsy Wright of Salisbury, NC, Judy Purdue of Lexington, NC; her best friend, George Rufus Willliams of Mocksville, NC.

A graveside service at New Salem Cemetery will be held at a later date.
