Leota (Nichols) Kerley

Leota Nichols Kerley, age 89, of 9455 Glade Valley Road, Ennice; passed away Thursday, December 23rd, 2021 at her home.

Leota was born April 12th, 1932 in Alleghany County, NC to the late Bert and Myrtle Nichols. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Lynn Kerley; a daughter, Olivia Ann Barker; three sisters and two brothers also predeceased her.

Survivors include her son, William Bert Kerley and wife Barbie of Lowgap; four grandchildren: Michael Barker of Ennice, Mark Barker of State Road, Daniel Barker of Ennice, Samantha Kerley and companion, Robert Siemers of Elkin; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim Nichols of Sparta; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends also survive.

No formal services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to her grandson who cared for Leota the last few years, Daniel Barker, 9455 Glade Valley Road, Ennice, NC 28623.
