Larry Dean McCann

Larry Dean McCann, Age 75, of Glade Valley, North Carolina; passed away Sunday, February 5th, 2023 at Chapel Hill Medical Center in Chapel Hill.

Larry was born on December 30th, 1947 in Alleghany, NC., to the late Joe and Ruby Absher McCann. He was an entrepreneur in real estate, rental properties, to selling cars. He enjoyed collecting guns and cars, mud slings, lawn mower racing, and animals. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Reed.

Survivors include his two children: Larry Dean McCann Jr. and wife Nikki of Panama City, FL, Danielle McCann, of Sparta, NC. two step-sons, Kevin Blevins and wife Susanne of Jefferson, SC, Kenneth Blevins of Sparta, NC; six grandchildren: Ryland Darnell of Sparta, Sawyer Blevins of Jefferson, SC, Raiden Furr of Sparta, NC, Brantlee McCann of Panama City, FL, Ledger Blevins of Jefferson, SC, and Ensley McGlamery of Sparta, NC; Eva Jean McCann former wife and loving friend; Many special extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Larry will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 10th, 2023 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Pastor Granville Branch officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence at 415 Savanna Lane, Glade Valley, NC, 28627.
