Kenneth 'Ken" Junior Triplett, age 68, of 63 Mary's Lane, Sparta; passed away Sunday, September 5th, 2021 at the home of his son, Matt Triplett.
Ken was born June 7th, 1953 in Ashe County to Junior Grover Triplett and Doris Sturgill Triplett. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jarvis Triplett. He was a self-employed Brick Mason and Carpenter for many years. He was a member of New Home Free Will Baptist Church and a former member of Piney Creek Volunteer Fire Department. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. He was always proud of Matt's home and his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Ann P. Triplett of the home; three children: Hope T. White and husband Josh of Sparta, David Triplett and wife Joni of Laurel Springs, Matt Triplett of the home; his parents, Junior and Doris Triplett of Sparta; two granddaughters: Kendra Hunt and Katie White both of Sparta; a grandson, Weston Triplett of Laurel Springs; two sisters: Joyce Flippen and husband Jerry of Sparta, Theresa Willey and husband James of Sparta; special friends: Jamie and Amanda Wiles of Piney Creek, Steven and Bridget Williams of Sparta, Johnny Williams of Sparta, Cliff Smith of Piney Creek, Mark Wagg of Laurel Springs, Benny and Patsy Love of Sparta; Many Nieces, Nephews, extended family and friends also survive.
Funeral Services to honor the life of Ken will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, September 8th, 2021 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Pastor Mark Wagg and Reverend Eric Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Matt Triplett, 292 Peaceful Mountain Lane, Sparta, NC 28675.
