Kenneth Mount, Sr.

Kenneth "Pop" Howard Mount, Sr. age 83, of the Turkey Knob community in Sparta; passed away Thursday, March 26th, 2026 at his residence.

Kenneth was born November 30th, 1942 in Allentown, NJ to the late Howard Mount, Jr. and Mary Guse Mount. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeannette Edith Camp Mount.

Survivors include his wife Dale Mount of the home; three children: Twyla Kennedy and husband Arnold of Sparta, Kimberly Reeves and husband Donald of Sparta, Kenneth Mount, Jr. and wife Treva of Laurel Springs; four step-children: David Whitson and wife Marie of NJ, Donna Whitson of Sparta, Darlene Parisi and husband Vince of TN, Deanne Covella and husband Jerry of NJ; seven grandchildren: Deborah Jean Delp and husband Allen of Galax, Melissa Kennedy of Sparta, Curtis Mount and wife Kaitlyn of Ennice, Faith Pack and husband Caleb of Sparta, Michael Mount and wife Alanna of Raleigh, Tiffany Mount of Sparta, Chris Mount of Asheville; ten great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Kenneth will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 30th, 2026 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Reverend Charles Lindquist officiating. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
