Karen Stefanik Obituary
Karen Collins Stefanik, age 73, of Port Charlotte, FL. and Glade Valley, NC., passed away Monday, January 18th, 2021at her residence in Glade Valley, NC.
She was born April 19th, 1947 in Painesville, Ohio to the late Hilbert and Willa Bliss Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Steven Stefanik; a sister, Deborah Collins.
Karen was a 1969 graduate of Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH. She retired from Charlotte County Schools, FL. after 30 years of service.
Survivors include two children: Evan Stefanik and wife Kristine of Saudi Arabia, a daughter, Cara Stefanik and Mark Percy of Port Charlotte, FL; three grandchildren: Vladislav, Hanna, and Mara Stefanik; nieces and nephews also survive.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
