Karen Mae (Edwards) Billings

Karen Mae Edwards Billings, age 67 of Sparta; passed away Monday, June 8th, 2026 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

Karen was born June 13th, 1958 in Galax, VA to the late Jackie Ray and Gencie Mae Bottomley Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gabriel Billings.

Karen was a talented artist, working and making pottery for Mangum Pottery for over 25 years.

Survivors include her husband, Rex Billings of the home; a daughter, Carrie Brown and husband Ronnie of Cowpens, SC; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Edwards and wife Crystal of Ennice; a half brother, William Flemming of Mt. Airy; extended family and friends also survive.

No formal services will be held.
