Junior Benge Obituary
Earl "Junior" Benge, age 94, of Elkin, NC; passed away Thursday, July 4th, 2024 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin, NC.
Junior was born March 11th, 1930 in Alleghany County to the late Fred and Olivia Andrews Benge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Shepherd Benge; a son, Carl Benge; four sisters; two brothers.
Survivors include five children: Earl Benge and wife Bonnie of Jonesville, Roger Benge and wife Faith of Port Charlotte, FL, Robert Benge and wife Sherlee of Mount Airy, Darlene Clark of Elkin, Betty Boyd and husband Ranzy of Sparta; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended family and friends also survive.
Funeral Services to honor the life of Junior will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 19th, 2024 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service with Reverend Charlie Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held.
