Judith Rowell Obituary
Judith "Judie" Snipes Rowell, age 83, of 207 Riverview Dr., Sparta; passed away Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 at her residence.
Judie was born November 11th, 1937 in New York, NY to the late William and Barbara Cooper Snipes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Rowell; a sister, Barbara Tate.
Judie was a member of Sparta Presbyterian Church and loved animals of all kind.
Survivors include three children: Cherie Rowell of Maryville, TN, Jeff Rowell and wife Beth of Sparta, Kim Combs and husband Chris of Gainesville, GA; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; a sister Debbie Hempel and husband Don of Lorton, VA; several nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.
Memorial services to honor the life of Judie will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 28th, 2021, in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service. No formal gathering will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Save a Pet of Alleghany, PO Box 44, Sparta, NC 28675.
