Joyce (Darnell) Pruitt

Joyce Darnell Pruitt, age 85 of Laurel Springs, NC; passed away Thursday, February 27th, 2025 at her residence.

Joyce was born September 24th, 1939 in Wilkes County to the late Ardle and Cordie Woodie Darnell. She enjoyed cooking, reading the Bible, and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Dean Pruitt of the home; four children: Patricia Miller and husband Jim of Crumpler, Allen Pruitt of Laurel Springs, Jacqueline Stewart and husband Jamie of Jefferson, Arlene Pruitt and fiance John of Greensboro; brother, Rocky Darnell; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A gathering to celebrate the life of Joyce will be held at Peak Creek Church of the Brethren Fellowship Hall on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 12:30 pm. A private graveside service will be held at the family cemetery.
