Joy Kaye (Porter) Wagoner

Joy Kaye Porter Wagoner, age 72 of 132 Rolling Green Road, Sparta; passed away Friday, February 24th, 2023 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

Joy was a member of New Covenant Church. She was born February 5th, 1951 in Alleghany County to the late James Ted and Emogene Choate Porter.

Survivors include her two children: Craig Lee Wagoner of Sparta, Ted Tilman Wagoner and wife Angie H. Wagoner of Ennice; five grandchildren: Brandon Lee Wagoner, Meagan Nicole Wagoner, Chelsea Shay Wagoner, Callie Madison Wagoner, and Evan Tilman Wagoner; four great-grandchildren; three sisters: Janice P. Dancy and husband Ricky of Sparta, Catherine Chappell and husband J.L. of Millers Creek, Candy Smith and husband Paul of Glade Valley; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.

Graveside services to honor the life of Joy will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 27th, 2023 at Sparta Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the residence during reasonable calling hours.
