Joshua Daniel Atwell

Joshua Daniel Atwell, age 22 of Ennice, NC; passed away Monday, August 11th, 2025 at his residence.

Joshua was born August 7th, 2003 in Alleghany County to Jeffrey Dale and Kimberly Killon Atwell. He loved the outdoors, and loved to fish. In his earlier years, he enjoyed karate and rabbit hunting. Joshua was a young man of faith and attended church at Haven of Rest Bible Church in Galax, Va. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ralph Killon; his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Larry and Carolyn Atwell.

Survivors include his wife of two years, Makenzie Cameron Atwell of the home; his parents, Jeffrey and Kimberly Killon Atwell of Ennice; his brother, Joseph David Atwell, of Ennice who adored, admired, and loved his big brother and best friend; the best granny on the planet, Margaret Killon of Ennice; a special friend, Branden Holden; many very special aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

All services for Joshua will be private.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of Joshua, the family request memorials be made to the building fund of Haven of Rest Bible Church, 2757 Fisher's Gap Road, Galax, Va 24333.
