John Wesley Bloom

John Wesley Bloom, age 70 of Ennice, NC; passed away Monday, May 5th, 2025 at Mountain Valley Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.

John was born March 22nd, 1955 in Miami, FL to the late Dorothy Civita and George Bloom. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Darlene Harrison Bloom; a step-son, Ralph Brown. John loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed riding motorcycles and tinkering with old cars.

Survivors include a daughter, Patti Dixon and fiance Greg Pruitt of Glade Valley; two step-daughters: Theresa Martin and husband Jeff of Hillsville, VA, Cherie Brown; six grandsons: Jeff Lafferty of Glade Valley, Kevin Dixon and wife Catherine of Sparta, Brian Brown of the home, Dougie Harrison of VA, Joey Harrison, Austin Brown of DE; two granddaughters: Roxanne Johnson and husband Chaze of VA, Chrissy Harrison of Galax; five great-grandchildren: Lukah Dixon, August Dixon, Arlo Quade, Aaliyah Johnson, Alayiah Johnson; a brother, Dean Bloom and wife Anita of PA; two sisters: Connie Grier and husband Ed of FL, Kim Woods and husband Marvin of Statesville.

A Celebration of Life service to honor the life of John will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 10th, 2025 in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
